Stephen Hunt

Stephen Hunt is a licensed Insolvency practitioner and partner at Griffins with over 20 years Industry experience. Stephen's specialisms include fraud, forensic investigation, asset tracing, MTIC fraud, fiduciary litigation, and complex and international insolvency cases.

Stephen is also renowned for his work in relation to IP conduct issues and professional negligence in the industry. In particular, Stephen has an interest in the regulatory issues surrounding the profession, and how changes can be made to increase the powers of the regulators, for the protection of creditors.

Stephen also advocates creditor led Insolvency work, encouraging creditors to understand their rights and powers as creditors and become actively involved in the cases.

Precedents

This Precedent, produced in partnership with Mike Pavitt of Paris Smith LLP and Stephen Hunt of Griffins, conditional fee agreement (CFA) between a solicitor and his insolvency office-holder client prior to 6 April 2016, ie before the relevant provisions of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders 2012 (LASPO 2012) came into effect ending the so-called ‘insolvency exemption’. This Precedent has been archived and is not maintained.
