Roman Vedernikov

Vedernikov Roman, Senior Attorney of Antitrust Practice at ALRUD Law Firm.

Roman graduated from MGIMO-University, International Trade Law Department in 2013. In 2016, Roman finished master's program at National Research University - Higher School of Economics, Law Department.

Roman advices clients on compliance with Russian antimonopoly legislation, participates in conduction of antimonopoly due diligence as well as in projects on cartel investigations. He also actively participates in the projects related to merger control clearance including for foreign companies doing business in Russia.

Roman represented interests of Honeywell, a multinational engineering company, with regard to obtaining approval of FAS Russia on acquisition of Elster, a world leader producer of energy metering systems.

He advised Hahn & Company, a large Korean private equity investment fund, with regard to acquisition of control over Halla Visteon Climate Control Corporation, the joint company of Ford Motor Company and Mando Corporation, producing high-quality air-conditioning and heating systems for vehicles.

Also Roman represented interests of Honda Motor Rus LLC, exclusive distributor of Honda vehicles in Russia, prepared a detailed position in antimonopoly dispute with a dealer that included economic analysis. As a result, the court ruled that the Client did not have a dominant position in Russia in the market of vehicles and spare parts and had not to conclude a contract with the dealer.

Roman is a member of the Competition Support Association in CIS countries.
