Rob Palmer

Rob Palmer is a Partner in Ashurst's dispute resolution team in Singapore. He has been based in Southeast Asia since 2003 and has worked throughout the region, including 2 years living in Jakarta. Rob is among the most experienced foreign counsel currently handling Indonesia-related disputes. He has worked extensively on Indonesia-related matters, particularly energy, construction and infrastructure disputes. He has managed Indonesian litigation on behalf of international clients; acted for Indonesian clients in regional arbitrations; and conducted arbitrations in Jakarta under the BANI Rules on behalf of both Indonesian and international clients. Rob is qualified in New Zealand, New South Wales and England, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA). He is a member of the panel of arbitrators of the KLRCA and the ACICA and is listed in legal directories as one of Singapore's leading construction and arbitration lawyers. He has conducted numerous arbitrations under the rules of major regional and international arbitral institutions including the SIAC, AAA, ICC, LCIA, KLRCA, TAI and BANI.
