Karagh Gilliatt is a partner in CMS's Financial Services & Products team and has over 15 years' experience in financial services law. Karagh focusses mainly on authorised funds, asset and transitions management, long-term insurance and related regulatory matters including AIFMD, UCITS V and MiFID II. In particular, Karagh implements fund formations, mergers and reorganisations in relation to the whole range of UK authorised funds and exempt funds. She has advised on the single largest UK authorised fund merger project, the first NURS set-up under COLL and the first UK authorised Tax Exempt Fund. Karagh has also advised on Part VII insurance business transfers through both the English and the Scottish courts, including the first ever general insurance transfer in Scotland. In addition, Karagh has acted for a wide range of investment firms and platform providers advising on authorisations and permissions, client-facing terms and conditions, including ISAs, as well as marketing literature, investment management and custody agreements.

Karagh is described in one of the legal directories as having 'excellent technical knowledge' and 'is personable, approachable and flexible'.
