Jude is an Associate in Osborne Clarke’s Commercial team specialising in advertising and marketing issues.
She joined Osborne Clarke on qualification in September 2015 and advises on a range of commercial issues including advertising regulation and ASA issues, copy advice, social media, e-commerce, comparative advertising and sponsorship arrangements.
Jude has spent time on secondment with a multi-national FMCG client advising on a wide range of commercial and media licensing issues and she is a regular contributor to OC’s specialist blog www.ocmarketinglaw.com.
Prior to starting her training contract, Jude worked as an Investigations Executive for the Advertising Standards Authority and was responsible for investigating complaints concerning all forms of advertising in broadcast and non-broadcast media. She provided advice and liaised with ad agencies, brand owners and other regulatory bodies to negotiate amendments to problematic adverts to ensure compliance with the UK Advertising Codes.
Jude’s recent work includes advising a social media platform on its advertising regulatory compliance across various sectors and carrying out intellectual property audits for an international app developer, advising on the licensing of its content across a range of platforms and applications.
