John Tackaberry, KC specialises in international commercial arbitration with a heavy emphasis towards construction, heavy engineering and infrastructure projects. In addition to England & Wales, he has been admitted to the Bars of California, Hong Kong (ad hoc), Ireland, Malaysia (ad hoc), New South Wales and Trinidad & Tobago. He chaired one of two Construction Panels over a period of 5 years at the United Nations Compensation Commission, reviewing claims arising out of the First Gulf War, and has sat as a Recorder in England & Wales for some 20 years. He has experience of cases from a wide variety of jurisdictions across the world and governed by both common and civil law systems. He principally sits as an arbitrator but also undertakes advocacy, mediation, adjudication, expert determination and DB work.
