Jin Yi

Jin Yi has been practising antitrust law since 2007. He advises on cases and projects in relation to antitrust litigation, administrative investigations, merger control proceedings and compliance consultations. Jin Yi has represented clients in several notable antitrust litigations. For example, he represented Qihoo during the appeal of its antitrust dispute against Tencent, which was heard by the Chinese supreme court. The case was selected as a leading case in 2017 by the supreme court. Jin Yi is experienced in representing both complainants and defendants in various investigations including horizontal and vertical agreements and the abuse of dominant positions. In Qualcomm, Jin Yi provided legal analysis to the NDRC as an external expert. Jin Yi also represented different clients in a series of investigations in relation to international shipping companies in recent years. He also has experience in advising clients in defending against follow-on damage claims. Finally, Jin Yi has advised clients in a great number of merger control filings in China, as well as antitrust compliance, anti-bribery and corporate counselling in a wide range of industries including shipping, energy, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, automobile, food, publication, media, education and sports. He is therefore equipped with wide-ranging practical experience. His experience enables him to facilitate an effective and efficient dialogue between the clients and regulators, protecting the best interests of the clients.
