Eve Giles specialises in business crime work. She regularly advises on corruption, cartel, fraud, financial services, extradition and other complex matters. She joined Kingsley Napley LLP in 2000, becoming a partner in 2009.

Eve successfully defended Rebekah Brooks at trial in respect of charges of misconduct in a public office. She has also advised a number of senior individuals in respect of SFO investigations into overseas corruption – both historically (MacMillan, PWS and BAE) and currently, where she is acting in a number of high profile ongoing SFO / DoJ investigations. Eve has advised the government of a foreign state in relation to its corruption and anti-money laundering laws. She has also acted for an MP during the police investigation into home office leaks and an individual in the 'cash for honours' investigation.

Eve acted for an individual from AIT in the FSA's first criminal prosecution for misleading the market (R v Rigby & Bailey). She acts for an individual broker in the SFO Libor II trial and for individuals facing FCA insider dealing and market abuse investigations. She advises on the investigation into the FX market and has in the past successfully defended an ex-director of Torex in an SFO prosecution for conspiracy to defraud.

Eve successfully defended a senior executive of British Airways in Operation Condor, the OFT’s prosecution for an alleged price fixing agreement with Virgin on the setting of the passenger fuel surcharge. She is currently acting in other ongoing cartel investigations by the CMA.
