Brian is a partner in Maples and Calder's dispute resolution group. He has extensive experience in advising both domestic and multinational clients from diverse backgrounds in large complex commercial disputes, including proceedings before the Irish commercial courts, as well as in all forms of arbitration. In particular, Brian has been involved in a number of high value-construction arbitrations over the last ten years in both ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations. He is a member of Arbitration Ireland, which is designed to promote international arbitration, and has spoken extensively upon the application of the Arbitration Act 2010. Brian acts as advocate in arbitrations and is a member of the IBA Arbitration Committee and Young Lawyers. Brian is also head of the financial services litigation team and regularly advises banks and other financial institutions in relation to all matters of litigation.
