Anthony has a substantial practice in commercial dispute resolution and arbitration, public and human rights law, and public international law.
Before coming to the bar, Anthony was a special advisor to the Attorney-General of New South Wales and a speechwriter to the Australian Foreign Minister and Premier of New South Wales. Alongside his practice, Anthony teaches commercial law at the London School of Economics.
Anthony holds a BA in Law with First Class Honours from Oxford. He was called to the bar by the Middle Temple, where has was a Queen Mother’s Scholar and was ranked Outstanding on the BPTC. Anthony also holds, from the University of Sydney, an MA with Distinction in Classical Chinese and BA in Chinese with First Class Honours, in which he ranked first and received the University Medal. He holds a graduate diploma in Chinese from Yuyuan Wenhua Daxue (the University of Languages and Cultures) in Beijing, where he studied on the TM Hsiao Scholarship from Sydney.
Anthony is a member of COMBAR and the London Common Law and Commercial Bar Association.
