Associate, Gowlng WLG


Amber Strickland is an Associate in the Regulatory Crime team at Gowlng WLG LLP.

Amber has general experience advising clients across a wide range of regulatory issues, including for example, illegal water abstraction from a construction site, planning breaches in relation to shop lighting after a refurbishment and all matters relating to health and safety law. She has also helped clients in the immediate aftermath of accidents and after fatalities throughout the Inquest process. Amber, and the wider SHEL team, works with clients to manage risk, maintain compliance prevent accidents. She understand the commercial pressures clients are under and works with them to find practical and pragmatic solutions.

Amber has also acted in a range of high profile and high value commercial contract disputes for both private sector clients and a number of local authorities. Finally, she has experience of defending a range of insurance claims for clients including through the personal injury Portal and where claims are below the insurance deductible.
