This chapter has been updated to include the latest Health and Safety Executive (HSE) statistics on deaths due to asbestos-related diseases. It highlights the latest developments in the courts regarding the disclosure of information about asbestos to a non-party to a legal case. It also sets out recommendations for changes to the health and safety regime for managing asbestos following a review of research, policy and practice.
Coronavirus (COVID-19)
This chapter has been updated to include the latest government advice on social distancing and self-isolation, and for clinically vulnerable and clinically extremely vulnerable people. It highlights research on the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on Black and minority ethnic (BAME) communities and workers and includes guidance for employers on the new NHS Test and Trace service.
