She is a well-known authoress on capital tax planning issues and a member of both the Private Client (UK) Sub-Committee and the Private Client (International) Sub-Committee of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and is a former member of the Inheritance Tax and Trusts Sub-Committee of the Faculty of Taxation. She was awarded the Chartered Institute of Taxation’s Fellowship Medal for the best fellowship submission of the year in 2014.
Simon McKie is a partner of McKie & Co LLP. He is a member of the Technical Committee of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and also a member of both the Private Client (UK) Sub-Committee and the Private Client (International) Sub-Committee of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, and he is a former chairman of that Institute’s Capital Taxes Sub-Committee. He is a former chairman of the Faculty of Taxation and of the Faculty’s Inheritance Tax and Trusts Technical Sub-Committee. He is an established tax author and has written and lectured widely on taxation. In no less than seven years he has been a finalist in the Taxation Awards ‘Tax Writer of the Year’.
