Journal of International Dispute Settlement

Journal

International dispute settlement is a relatively new field of academic study that increasingly combines private and public international law and raises enduring issues of global importance. The growth of the field of international dispute settlement in practice, the novelty and significance of the issues posed, and the originality of the academic angle from which such issues need to be addressed are the factors that triggered the launch of the Journal of International Dispute Settlement.

JIDS primarily addresses fundamental and lasting issues of international dispute settlement, and gives preference to articles of enduring importance concerning significant trends in the field.

JIDS is open to strictly legal approaches as well as to studies inspired by other disciplines, such as legal sociology, legal theory, the history of law, law and political science, and law and economics.
