Index

The Index is an index to the law as stated in Halsbury's Laws of England, and contains entries to all current volumes, including the fourth, reissue and fifth editions. It does not take account of changes made by legislation subsequent to the publication of each volume. Index references to new or amended legislation since the publication of a volume can be found by reference to the indexes contained in the Cumulative Supplement and Current Service.

Entries in the Index refer to the edition, volume and paragraph number and, where appropriate, the footnote number at which the relevant information appears in the main volumes of Halsbury's Laws of England. Volume and edition numbers are printed in bold type (eg 33 (4th)), paragraph numbers are in roman type (eg 123).
