Deloitte UK GAAP - Financial Reporting for UK Unlisted Entities

Commentary

The purpose of this manual is to explain the financial reporting requirements that apply to UK companies that choose to report under UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (UK GAAP). Most unlisted companies, including subsidiaries of listed companies, continue to use UK GAAP. This manual is for them. It does not deal with reporting under IFRSs but deals with the requirements of FRS 26 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement (see chapters 47 to 56) which must be applied by listed companies reporting under UK GAAP in their individual accounts and also by other companies that choose to use 'fair value accounting' (see 1.1). This manual also deals with the 'package' of other standards that must be adopted at the same time as FRS 26.
