Solicitor - Disciplinary proceedings - Appeal

The Case

Solicitor Disciplinary proceedings. There were compelling reasons for the court to determine sanction, having previously quashed findings of dishonesty and want of integrity against the appellant for serious procedural irregularity. Accordingly, the Divisional Court determined that nine months' suspension of the appellant from practice was a term that would both punish and deter, whilst being proportionate to the seriousness of his misconduct.
