The Case

European Union Regulations. The Court of Justice of the European Union dismissed the appeal by T & L Sugars, established in the United Kingdom, and another company, by which those companies sought to set aside a judgment of the General Court of the European Union by which that court had dismissed their action for annulment of certain EU regulations. By those regulations, the European Commission had sought to adopt measures designed to increase the supply of sugar on the EU market, which had been experiencing a shortage.
