Libel and slander Justification. The defendant newspaper publisher published an article concerning the claimants entitled 'ASYLUM SEEKERS: PAY FOR US TO HAVE A HOL'. The claimants sued for defamation. The Queen's Bench Division granted the defendant's application for summary judgment pursuant to CPR Pt 24 as there was no allegation contained in the article which would not have been capable of being defended either by way of justification or fair comment.
