Trade union - Rules - Election - First defendant trade union's executive committee inviting affiliated organisations to nominate member for office of general secretary - Claimant and third party submitting applications together with nominations for post of general secretary - Claimant seeking declaration that his nomination only valid nomination - Whether nominations of claimant and/or second defendant valid.
Trade union Rules. The Queen's Bench Division held that the claimant's nominations as general secretary of the first defendant trade union was invalid as the claimant's trade union had not been a member of the first defendant when its general secretaries had nominated the claimant.
