The Case

The Court of Justice of the European Union gave a preliminary ruling concerning the interpretation of art3(1) and (3) of Council Regulation (EC, Euratom)2988-95 (on the protection of the European Communities financial interests), in conjunction with Commission Regulation (EC) 2571-97 (on the sale of butter at reduced prices and the granting of aid for cream, butter and concentrated butter for use in the manufacture of pastry products, ice-cream and other foodstuffs).
