Sentence Imprisonment. Court of Appeal, Criminal Division: Where the defendant had pleaded guilty to assisting in managing a brothel and had been sentenced to 15 months' imprisonment, the sentence was manifestly excessive and would be reduced to 9 months' imprisonment. In the circumstances, sufficient account had not been taken of the defendant's mitigation.
