Sentence - Imprisonment - Length of sentence - Fraud - Defendant being sentenced to total of four years and six months' imprisonment - Whether sentence manifestly excessive.
Sentence Imprisonment. Court of Appeal, Criminal Division: The defendant's total sentence of four years and eight months would be reduced in respect of eight imprisonment counts of fraud would be reduced to three years and six months' imprisonment, in circumstances where the totality of the sentence had to be taken into account in view of the fact that the defendant had, shortly before being sentenced in respect of those offences, been sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment in respect of another offence of fraud.
