Sentence - Imprisonment - Length of sentence - Inflicting grievous bodily harm - Making a threat to kill - Harassment - Whether sentence manifestly excessive.
Where the defendant had pleaded guilty to, inter alia, counts of inflicting grievous bodily harm and making a threat to kill, a total sentence of two years and 11 months' imprisonment was somewhat too long, in light of information additional to that possessed by the trial judge about the defendant's behaviour since the offences, in particular his remorse and his attitude to prison. The sentence would be quashed and replaced with a total sentence of two years' imprisonment.
