Sentence - Mandatory life sentence - Murder - Minimum term - Reference to High Court for it to set minimum term - , Sch 22, para 6.
In all the circumstances, and bearing in mind that the minimum term set by the court could not exceed that which the Secretary of State would have been likely to notify the offender, the appropriate minimum term for the offender's murder of his partner would be 15 years' imprisonment, less the ten months and 28 days that the offender had spent in custody on remand.
