Sentence - Mandatory life sentence - Murder - Minimum term - Reference to High Court for it to set offender's minimum term - , Sch 22, para 6.
Where an offender had carefully planned and executed the murder of his wife, instructed the disposal of the same, and made attempts to frame others, the appropriate minimum term to be set would be 17 years' imprisonment less 8 months and 17 days for time spent on custody in remand.
