Ecclesiastical law - Faculty - Demolition of church - Re-allocation of chattel - Petitioner seeking transfer of chalice to another church - Application from third church for transfer of chalice - Whether faculty should be granted to petitioner.
Once a gift had made to a church, the donors no longer had any proprietary interest in the items concerned. In the instant case, however, the petitioner had not suggested that he had such an interest, nor did they seek the return of the items. In the circumstances, the court would grant the faculty sought.
