Sentence - Mandatory life sentence - Murder - Minimum term - Whether offender's minimum term ought to be reduced - , Sch 22, para 3.
In all the circumstances, the offender's minimum term would be maintained at 12 years' imprisonment for the murder of his girlfriend in a sustained attack when his mind was to some extent affected by drink. However, the minimum term would be reduced by the time the offender had spent on remand.
