Medical practitioner - Professional misconduct - Disciplinary proceedings - Fitness to Practice Panel - Finding of serious professional misconduct - Suspension - Whether panel erring in penalty and duration.
In the instant case, the Fitness to Practice Panel of the defendant General Medical Council had used its best professional experience and judgment to decide what danger the claimant doctor presented to patients and how that danger could have been remedied. In the circumstances, the panel had not erred either in its decision as to the nature of the penalty imposed or its duration.
