European community - Environment - Conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora - Failure of member state to fulfil obligations - Whether United Kingdom failing to take necessary measures within period prescribed - Council Directive (EEC) 79/409, art 6(1) - Council Directive (EEC) 92/43, arts 2(1), 12(2), 13(1).
By not adopting, within the prescribed period, all the measures necessary to comply with art6(1) of Council Directive (EEC) 79-409 (on the conservation of wild birds) and arts12(2) and 13(1) read in conjunction with art2(1) of Council Directive (EEC) 92-43 (on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora), the UK had failed to fulfil its obligations under those directives.
