Negligence - Duty to take care - Employer - Reference given by company on former contractor - Claimant failing to secure new position - Claimant alleging reference disparaging - Whether defendants in breach of duty of care or contract.
On the evidence, statements to which exception was taken contained in a reference provided by the defendants concerning the claimant had been true. It followed that the defendants had not been in breach of any duty of care owed to the claimant or in breach of contract.
