Criminal evidence and procedure - Abuse of process - Entrapment - Police investigation whilst defendant on bail for other offences - Necessity for investigation - , s 29.
In the instant case, the judge had been right to reject the submission that the proceedings amounted to an abuse of process, where the police had used convert intelligence under s29 of the having suspected that the defendant continued to handle stolen goods despite being on bail pending trial on charges of handling.
