Sentencing - Theft - Breach of licence - Custodial sentence - Totality of sentence manifestly excessive.
On the facts of the instant case, the defendant's appeal against a total sentence of five years and eight months' detention in a young offenders' institution, imposed for numerous offences, was reduced on the grounds that the original sentence was excessive for an 18-year-old who had not contested a single matter.
