Sentencing - Custodial sentence - Duration - Appeal - Powers of Criminal Court (Sentencing) Act 2000, ss 3,4 and 6.
The Court of Appeal made technical adjustments to preserve a sentence of 30 months' imprisonment imposed upon a defendant for a variety of offences, after he had been committed to the Crown Court for sentence, in circumstances where the sentences imposed upon him had been technically deficient, but had reflected the gravity of the criminality involved.
