The Case

Where substantial doubt had been cast upon the integrity of persons who had then been, but were no longer, police officers, and had played an important role in gathering intelligence which had led to the search of the defendant's home (and had then led to his conviction for various offences), an appeal, on a reference by the Criminal Cases Review Commission, was allowed against those convictions.
