Sentencing - Custodial sentence - Duration - Breach of trust.
A sentence of eight months' detention in a young offender institution imposed upon a defendant who pleaded guilty to obtaining unauthorised access to computer material to facilitate the commission of an offence was considered, on appeal, to be manifestly excessive. A sentence of four months' detention in a young offender institution was substituted.
