Libel and slander - Libel - Defence - Privilege - Qualified privilege - Malice - Judge finding publication attracting qualified privilege and no evidence to support finding of malice - Appeal.
The court dismissed the claimant's appeal against a decision of the judge at first instance that the publications complained of in his libel actions were the subject of qualified privilege, and that there was no evidence on which a jury properly directed could find that the second defendant had been actuated by malice.
