Damages and compensation - Personal injury - General damages - Pain suffering and loss of amenity - Quantum.
Taking into account the pain, which, but for the accident would only have occurred ten years after the accident, the post-traumatic stress disorder and the moderately severe depression lasting for upwards of five years from the date of the accident and from which recovery would be incomplete, general damages for pain suffering and loss of amenity suffered as a result of personal injuries sustained in a car accident would be assessed at 35,000.
