European Community - Directive - Transposition into national law - Legal services - Practice of profession of lawyer in member state other than member state of qualification - France failing to implement directive within prescribed time-limit - Whether France failing to fulfil obligations under directive - Parliament and Council Directive (EC) 98/5.
By failing to adopt the laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with Directive 98-5-EC (to facilitate practice of the profession of lawyer on a permanent basis in a member state other than that in which the qualification was obtained), France had failed to fulfil its obligations under that directive.
