Practice and procedure - Compromise of claim - Legality and binding nature of agreement to compromise claim for malicious falsehood.
Whilst the judge had been correct in finding that the parties to an action for malicious falsehood had concluded a compromise of the action, he had erred in failing to find that there had been any specific agreement or understanding between the parties as to the meaning to be attached to the word 'article' in the compromise agreement.
