Sentencing - Custodial sentence - Duration - Conspiracy to supply a controlled drug - Comparison with sentence of co-accused - Appropriate sentence.

The Case

A sentence of 33 months' imprisonment for a count of conspiracy to supply a controlled drug was not excessive or wrong in principle and the difference of 12 months between the sentence of the defendant and that of his co-accused, the defendant's former solicitor, had amply reflected the difference in culpability between them.
