Sentencing - Custodial sentence - Duration - Possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.
A sentence of ten years' imprisonment on a conviction for possession of a ClassA drug, namely heroin with a street value of 17,500, was excessive given the amount of drugs involved and that the defendant had not been involved in importation of drugs. Accordingly, the sentence would be reduced to one of eight years' imprisonment.
