Sentencing - Custodial sentence - Duration - Possession of Class A drug.
Although the judge had not erred in the instant case in imposing a custodial sentence on a defendant who had been convicted of possessing crack cocaine, the six month sentence was, in the circumstances too long. A sentence of three months' imprisonment was substituted.
