Sentencing - Custodial sentence - Duration - Causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Where the defendant was sentenced to four years' detention in a young offender institution after pleading guilty to an offence of causing grievous bodily harm with intent following a sustained attack involving a bottle, it was held that, in the circumstances, that sentence was not manifestly excessive.
