Immigration - Asylum - Appeal - One-stop procedure - Scope of powers to certify asylum claim as manifestly ill-founded - Power of Secretary of State to withdraw certificate after confirmation by adjudicator - Immigration and Asylum Act, Sch 4, para 9
Where the Secretary of State made a certificate under para9 of Sch4 to the and the Special Adjudicator agreed with the view of the Secretary of State as expressed in the certificate, the Secretary of State was entitled to withdraw that certificate even after it had been confirmed by the adjudicator.
