The Case

Where the defendants were sentenced to three years' imprisonment and a two year detention and training order following pleading guilty to robbery, it was held that in the circumstances, those sentences were excessive, and the following sentences were substituted: 27 months' imprisonment for the first defendant, and an 18 month detention and training order for the second defendant.
