Estoppel - Proprietary estoppel - Promised legacy in will - Detrimental reliance.
The claimant's reliance, inter alia, on the doctrine of proprietary estoppel, was well founded as, on the facts, the testator's promise and the claimant's detriment was easily established, and the defendant had failed to discharged his burden to prove that the claimant had not relied on the testator's promises.
