Damages and compensation - Negligence - Architect - Duty to warn design of spectator stand not providing required capacity - Measure of damages
When assessing the quantum of damages recoverable by the respondent as a result of the appellant architect's failure to warn the respondent that its plans for the development of a replacement spectator stand did not meet the respondent's specifications, the adjudicator should have applied the test set down by the House of Lords in South Australia Asset Management Co Ltd v York Montague Ltd ().
