Sentencing - Unlawful wounding - Custodial sentence - Aggravating and mitigating features - Whether sentence excessive.
The court ruled that a sentence of three years' imprisonment following a guilty plea was not excessive for an offence of unlawful wounding, in circumstances where the defendant had hit the victim approximately five times with a metal bar, fracturing the victim's elbow.
