European Community - Failure of member state to fulfil obligations - Failure to implement directive within prescribed period - Greece - Animal nutrition - Whether member state failing to fulfil obligations under directive - Council Directive (EC) 1999/20, art 5(1).
On an application by the Commission of the European Communities, the Court of Justice of the European Communities declared that Greece had failed to adopt within the period prescribed, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with Council Directive (EC) 1999-20, which amended Directives (EEC) 70-524 (concerning additives in feedingstuffs), (EEC) 82-471 (concerning certain products used in animal nutrition), (EC) 95-53 (fixing the principles governing the organisation of official inspections in the field of animal nutrition) and (EC) 95-69 (laying down the conditions and arrangements for approving and registering certain establishments and intermediaries operating in the animal field sector).
